April-June 2004 Gallery

updated 11/09/05

A slight update to the Spring-Summer collection of pictures. Carol completed her final semester at CSU Fresno and graduated. Not too much time for pictures but I did manage to take a few. If you want to know more of our travels, see: Visalia, Three Rivers, and Pacific Grove.

Carol Long

Carol poses in the back yard for her graduation announcement picture.

CSUF Graduation 2004

Carol receives her mock diploma from the department head, Dr. Luis Costa.

Carol and Abi

May 22, 2004 - Taken just after the main event

Cousins

Heather Stoeckel, Carol Long, Abi and Adrie Carroll at a post-graduation lunch.

Carol and friends

Carol and a group of friends. The hawaiian themed party took place at Tom and Nancy's home along the Kings River.

Three Generations

Bryan Cook, Jacob Cook and Tom Stoeckel

Nancy and Alison

Nancy Stoeckel holds the newest member of the Stoeckel clan: Alison Bogart

Dad's Birthday

Bob hosted a BBQ dinner at his mome for dad's 89 birthday. Seated around the table: Bob, Marvella, Mark, Lori, Dad, Ruth, Carolyn

Ruth Chumin

This picture was taken of Ruth in the front room of Bob and Marvella's home.

Carol and Grandpa

Carol helps dad with one of his birthday presents: a radio/cassette player.

Marvella Kleiser

Marvella in the front room of their home with Adrie in the background.

1976 Jaguar XJ12L

Bob shows off the engine in his 12 cylinder Jaguar restoration project. Looks more to me like they just poured in engine parts until the space was filled.

Fifties Night - Guys

For a family birthday party it was decided to do a 50's theme. Jason, Matt, Tom, Drew and Tom give a manly pose.

Fiftys Night - Ladies

Judy, Carolyn, Liz, Emily, Alison, Nancy, Giana, Cassera, Carol all pose for the Stoeckel 50's Night.

Visalia Fox Theater

A Sunday afternoon trip to Visalia gave this picturesque photo of the old Fox Theater along main street.

Chevy Woody Wagen

Further down main street was this beautifully restored woody wagon.

Three Rivers Naturedome

After Visalia we went on East up to Three Rivers, spotted this store and just had to stop. Definitely a shopping blast from the past.

The New Full-Bath

My own house project for the last 6 months. To tile the floor, tile the bathtub and add pine wainscoting to the upstairs bathroom.

Monterey Wharf

For our anniversary we stayed at Bob and Beverly's house in Pacific Grove for a couple of days. The first evening had to be dinner at the Monterey Wharf.

Seal Siesta

The next day along the Pacific Grove coastline we stopped near Lovers Point to take this picture of one of the many seals taking their warmup nap.

PG Lighthouse

The night before we left, we drove the loop around Asilomar Beach shoreline. The Point Pinos Lighthouse, built in 1855 is the oldest, continuously operating lighthouse on the west coast.

LoversPoint +80yrs

Looking through my grandfathers negatives I found this picture of Lovers Point taken around 1925. Note the Japanese bath house on the peninsula.

Heather Stoeckel

Heather Stoeckel and her dog, Odie came to stay a couple of weeks in July.

Carlysle & Clair Brown

We enjoyed a all-to-short lunch visit with Carysle and Clair. Carlysle was one of the original 4/5s folk group members back in the early 60's.

August Birthdays

We celebrated a creekside birthday dinner at Tom and Nancy Stoeckels Wildwood home.

Alison Bogart

Alison demonstrates her early nutritional medicine skills on grandpa by stuffing the complete bottle of vitamin pills down his throat.
